Diagnostic Imaging:  Radiology/Ultrasound/CT

Getting you the answers you need through non-invasive imaging.

Effective treatment for your pet's illness or injury first requires a precise diagnosis. In more serious cases, your vet may turn to us for help in pinpointing a diagnosis, confirming a course of treatment, identifying an injury or providing a second opinion.

With board-certified veterinary radiologists on staff, Veterinary Specialty Center of Delaware helps your veterinarian accurately diagnose your pet's condition. Our radiologists are experts in the latest imaging technology and can help you and your regular veterinarian decide on the best ways to get the answers you need.  All findings are shared with you and your veterinarian so that an effective treatment plan may begin immediately.

Our years of diagnostic imaging experience result in diagnoses you can rely on.

Our imaging services include:

  • Radiograph interpretation and reporting
  • Ultrasound of the abdomen, non-cardiac thorax, and other areas
  • Ultrasound-guided aspirates and biopsies
  • CT scanning
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Contrast studies

A board-certified veterinary radiologist is a veterinarian who has completed extensive and formal training in all aspects of radiologic imaging, and is certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiologists (ACVR). This certification requires three years of additional training beyond the eight required for veterinary school, plus passing a rigorous examination.
