The Veterinary Specialty Center of Delaware Ophthalmology Service announces the departure of Dr. Kathryn Wotman, DVM, DACVIM, DACVO. Dr. Wotman will be leaving VSCD for a teaching position at the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and will see her last patient appointments at VSCD on Friday, August 11, 2017.
Dr. Wotman has been an integral member of the VSCD Ophthalmology service since August 2012. She joined our team before achieving her full diplomate status with the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology, but was already a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Animal) before pursuing board-certification in Ophthalmology. Her focus on treating the animal within has offered great insight for her ophthalmology practice,as well as through her service to VSCD as Biosecurity Chair for our hospital. She has grown into a well-regarded colleague, mentor and friend to all of us at VSCD, and we will all miss her dearly.
Dr. Wotman and her husband look forward to mountain life and future new outdoor adventures with her canine boys, Henry and Calvin. She also looks forward to a practice environment where she can work on all shapes and sizes of eyes and teach future veterinary minds – all in one setting. Please join us at VSCD in congratulating and wishing Dr. Wotman the best in her new chapter.
