Veterinary Internal Medicine: Diagnosing and treating internal disease.
There are many serious diseases that can affect the internal body systems of your pet, such as kidney disease, liver disease, respiratory disease and endocrine disorders to name a few. And they are often difficult to diagnose. If your vet suspects your pet has such a condition, you may be referred to a veterinary internist who specializes in diagnosing and treating these serious diseases.
At Veterinary Specialty Center of Delaware, we offer two full-time internal medicine specialists, board-eligible Dr. Jeremy Diroff and board-certified Dr. Robin Pullen. Both are highly skilled internists with the experience necessary to identify your pet's problem and put them on the road to recovery with the appropriate treatment plan.
Their specialized care is supported by an experienced internal medicine nursing staff plus access to special laboratories for the most accurate diagnosis. From your initial hour-long appointment, Dr. Diroff and Dr. Pullen will be committed to finding the right healthcare solution for your four-legged friend.
Our internal medicine services include:
- Endoscopy (flexible and rigid) for gastrointestinal, lower airway, upper airway, urinary and foreign body removal
- Bone marrow studies
- Skin punch biopsies
- Limited chemotherapy
